touches a chord somewhere in me too...something to do with the contrast of that little pink dress and the boyish haircut...I hated wearing anything remotely girlie & have been waging war with that bloody sunshine and lollipops stereotype for way too long now ;)
Thank you for the Fun Blog: very important to remind ourselves of our multiple personalities all of whom need an airing from time to time to avoid getting myopic.
lol...Yes Barb...I really have made an effort to embrace the odd frock and use of hair straightener but I just know that my body language is screaming awkward!!
On the other hand I have no problem with loving lollipops and sunshine...maybe it's just that bloody annoying song...and the use of pink
That's it Joan!! Looking forward to further airing the cheeky little child -thanks
seriously though- the internal struggle reflects mistaken beliefs around the female lot, in society and especially in our family...which I have managed to focus less on/let go of...awakening to the truth of the feminine as I journey
I have a pink yoga mat, but that's as far as I'll go! More than happy to let other women express that side of it, but there is much more to the feminine than pink dresses and girly behaviour. It's the stereoytping and subsequent expectations that I think WY and I are responding to. Anyway, I simply enjoy being a tomboy.
.......trans/cross/inter gender is the new sex. Just ask the metro-sexual youth who ping me if I make a comment that sounds even remotely like 'gender-sterotyping'. :)
Give me a frock and a pair of blunnies, some music and campfire and I am the happiest girl in the world. I like your comment about her expression, WY, very nice.

Love the expression on her face! Looks like she's not too sure what to make of the occasion :)
Well spotted. I am sure that every image I do is really a 'self-portrait'. :)
