The world came out of the Black Plague and the Spanish Flu and we got right back to the business of being human. Humans have always believed they knew everything and should attempt everything. And that the earth was there for the taking. Humans have been laid low countless times, either by viruses or human cruelty. I doubt there will much collective change after this pandemic is over -- just look at people where restrictions are being eased -- right back to dangerous behavior. I wish it were different, but I fear it will not be.
I agree Tara. I don't think humans have the ability to self-regulate en masse and forces beyond our control will sort things out. I actually find that reassuring.
