I know! So gobsmackingly stupid. The way the virus has been handled in our first world country is embarrassing. Not quite as bad as Trump's effort, but a close second. If our government had shown some leadership we could have handled it so much better. Now 2 of our largest east coast cities are in lockdown. Insufficient vaccines have been available and Aussies have felt a bit too superior hiding away on an island and thinking they didn't have to make the hard decisions. Now the goverment wants to offer them expensive lollipops to bribe them to do the right thing!! FFS. I didn't want the damn vaccine either, but sometiems you just have to make the best of a bad choice.
